PROOF OF ADDRESS FOR DRIVER LICENSE

NOTICE: This is to give all residents heads up when coming in for a driver license as received from the State:

In order to be in compliance with Real ID ACT, effective April 4, 2011, all applicants will now need one document to prove their residential address.  A parent’s proof of address indicated on license is acceptable for a minor child.  Applicant can provide one of the documents listed below (each must contain their current address):

·         Utility bill

·         Credit card statement

·         Pay stub or earnings statement

·         Rent receipt

·         Phone bill

·         Transcript or report card from an accredited school     

·         Bank statement

·         Mortgage document

·         Tax document

·         Homeowners/renter’s insurance policy

·         Vehicle registration

·         Other items with their address can be reviewed by Driver’s License   personnel

Please note that if your mailing address is a post office box, this will not meet the requirement. It MUST show your physical address of residence. Please be prepared to show one of these qualifying documents when coming in to renew your driver license. This will be required at ALL driver license offices though out the State.
